Dr Julie Burke
Dr Julie Burke graduated from the University of Queensland in 1985. She worked in metropolitan hospitals for 4 years, including a year as GP registrar in Paediatrics and Geriatric Medicine.
After working and traveling overseas (UK), Dr Burke settled in Central Queensland and commenced as a full time GP with Yeppoon Family Practice in 1994.
Dr Burke’s interest in Travel Medicine lead to the practice becoming a founding member of the Travel Medical Alliance in 2005. This is an essential service for Central Queensland as it allows patients access to up to date travel advice and kits for their travel plans.
Dr Burke also has a keen interest in women’s health and runs a special Women’s Health clinic at Yeppoon Family Practice.
Dr Julian Gregory
Dr Julian Gregory graduated from University of Queensland in 1977 and obtained his Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 1984.
He had practiced medicine in Yeppoon for 14 years before he became a Practice Partner in Yeppoon Family Practice in 1996. Dr Gregory has found it a privilege to look after the health needs of the Capricorn Coast community for 34 years.
Dr Gregory enjoys all areas of family medicine, however he has a special interest in men’s health, travel medicine, skin cancer surgery, aged persons health care, sports medicine and acupuncture.
He is a Nominated Medical Advisor for the mining industry Coal Board Medicals and enjoys teaching GP registrars and medical students.
Dr Ted Milford
Dr Milford graduated from Melbourne University in 1975. He has a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology which he obtained in 1981 and is a Fellow of Australian College of Remote Medicine.
Dr Milford worked in Melbourne as a GP Obstetrician until 1995 when he and his family moved north to the Capricorn Coast. He has lived and practiced in the community for the past 20 years, initially at Emu Park, then Yeppoon and Zilzie.
Dr Milford enjoys all areas of general practice but has a special interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr Beth Skilbeck
Dr Skilbeck is a part time Australian GP, sharing her time between Zilzie and Yeppoon practices.
Dr Skilbeck graduated from the University of Liverpool UK in 1992. Her General Practice training was gained in the UK with a Royal College Membership of General Practitioners. She has obtained Diplomas in child health, minor surgery, family planning and obstetrics with gynaecology.
Dr Skilbeck fell in love with Australia when she was working as a GP locum on the Gold Coast in 1998. She has spent 11 years working as a GP in Sarina, before moving to Yeppoon.
Dr Skilbeck sees herself a traditional family doctor with special interest in women’s health, IUD insertion, mental health and minor surgery. She is a GP registrar supervisor and contracted by James Cook University to assess the training of the local registrars.
Dr Rhowena Yabut Perumal
Dr Rhowena Yabut-Perumal graduated with a degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Philippines with vast postgraduate experience in general medicine both in the Philippines and in Australia.
Dr Yabut-Perumal joined Yeppoon Family Practice in 2018 under the Rural Training Pathway of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has a Diploma in Child Health from The University of Sydney and enjoys all aspects of child health. She also has a particular interest in the care of complex chronic adult medical conditions.
Away from work, Dr Yabut-Perumal enjoys quality time with her family as a mother of two young children and surrounds herself with all facets of music.
Dr Neel Chitre
Dr Neel Chitre joined the practice in 2017. Dr Neel currently works in Yeppoon Family Practice and The Family Practice (Zilzie) under the GP Registrar Program.
Dr Neel enjoys all aspects of general practice, and has a special interest in Skin.
Having lived in Central Queensland for a number of years, Dr Neel is committed to providing quality care for the local community.
Dr George Seifert
Dr George Seifert joined the Yeppoon Family Practice team in 2017 and is currently working in Yeppoon Family Practice and The Family Practice (Zilzie).
After many years of hospital based medicine, Dr Seifert decided to specialise in General Practice and is currently completing the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners training requirements. The Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) is a specialist general practice qualification accredited by the Australian Medical Council.
Dr Seifert is passionate about quality medicine and as a local Central Queenslander, is keen stay in the area long term to meet the health needs of our growing community.
