Dr Hein Hjun
Dr Hein Lin Htun (MBBS), Male
Dr Hein graduated from Myanmar in 2011 and then he moved to Jamaica. Dr Hein spent 7 years in Jamaica working in both hospital settings and primary care. He arrived in Australia 3 and half years ago and enjoys living in Queensland.
Dr Hein enjoys road trips and outdoor activities. His favorite sports are soccer and table tennis.
His special interests are
-Chronic disease management
Hein is fluent in English and Burmese language. Dr Hein works across both Emu Park and Yeppoon locations.
Dr Lana Ramazan-Yousif
Dr Lana is a graduate of the Medical University of Lublin, Poland. In 2015 she completed her internship in Denmark and continued her journey in medicine as a critical care, emergency registrar. Throughout her medical career, Dr Lana completed various hospital rotations before relocating to Yeppoon to join the practice as an associative doctor to start her GP program. Her special interests is everything from pediatrics to geriatrics. She is passionate about being the patients advocate and in preventative medicine. Dr Lana welcomes new patients.
Other then English, Dr Lana also speaks Norwegian, Danish, Polish and Kurdish fluently and enjoys traveling in her spare time.
Dr Tharindie Padmaperuma
Dr Tharindie Padmaperuma is from Sri Lanka, with a MBBS from Manipal University, India. Dr Tharindie has worked in various countries with rotations in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Psychiatry.
After working in Campbelltown Hospital NSW, Dr Tharindie returned to Sri Lanka and worked for 6 months before relocating to Central Queensland in September 2021.
Dr Tharindie speaks both English and Sinhalese and is currently working from our Yeppoon Practice with an interest in all aspects of general practice and welcomes new patients.
Dr Matt Franke
Dr Matt is a Rockhampton local who well to school here. He graduated with a medical degree from James Cook University Townsville in 2011. Dr Matt completed 2 years post graduate at Townsville Hospital before retuning to Rockhampton. Dr Matt works across 2 locations Yeppoon Family Practice, Tuesdays and Thursday and Complete Skin Solutions Wednesdays and Friday.
Dr Eirik Ytterland
Dr Eirik is from Norway and graduated from Poznan University of Medical Science in 2012. He completed an internship and GP training in regional / rural Norway and spent 1 year in the oncology / palliative care ward in a regional hospital. Dr Eirik was a partner in two practices in Norway and completed his GP specialist training gaining his fellowship in 2018. He enjoys all areas of general practice with a special interest in chronic disease management, men’s health, minor surgery (skin) and acute care.
Most of Dr Eirik’s spare time is filled with “family fun time” with his wife and 3 young children who seized the opportunity and made the move to Australia for a new adventure in September 2021. Other then family time he can be found enjoying sport, especially football (soccer), but anything that involves a ball.
Currently Dr Eirik is working from our Emu Park Practice.
Dr Michael Donohue
Dr Michael Donohue graduated from the University of Queensland in 1978 and has a Post-Graduate Diploma from the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist. He is also a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
Dr Donohue joined the Yeppoon Family Practice as a Practice Partner in 1986 and has provided care for the Capricorn Coast community for over 30 years.
Dr Donohue has held numerous medical appointments over his general practice career, including Lecturer for the University of Queensland – Rural Clinical school and is currently a Queensland Government Medical Officer.
He has shared his wealth of general practice knowledge and skills as an educator and supervisor for medical students and Registrars since 1986.
Whilst enjoying every aspect of general practice, Dr Donohue has a particular interest in men’s health, geriatrics, cardiovascular disease, as well as sports and musculo-skeletal medicine.
Dr Geraldine Young
Dr Geraldine Young graduated from the University of Queensland in 1982. Dr Young joined Dr Donohue at Yeppoon Family Practice as a Practice Partner in 1992 and is pleased with the way the practice has developed in size and service to the Capricorn Coast Community.
In 1995 Dr Young completed her Fellowship at the Royal College of General Practice.
Dr Young has a special interest in Women’s Health and since the practice purchased Complete Skin Solutions has specialised in Fractional Ablative Laser Rejuvenation to treat a wide range of skin conditions including skin damage, pigmentation, acne scaring and benign skin lesions.
Dr Nicholas Wong
BSc, MBBS, AMC, MRCGP, FRACGP, FACRRM
Dr Nick Wong is a University of London graduate (Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School 1988). After studying and training as a General Practitioner in the UK, he travelled to Queensland, Australia and was employed with Queensland Health. He served 4 years as a solo Medical Superintendent at Yeppoon Hospital before becoming a principle at the Yeppoon Family Practice in 1996.
Dr Wong is a father of four very musical and medical kids. He enjoys farming and music. He has a passion to bring on the next generation of medical practitioners and is dedicated to his work on the Capricorn coast.
Dr Julie Burke
Dr Julie Burke graduated from the University of Queensland in 1985. She worked in metropolitan hospitals for 4 years, including a year as GP registrar in Paediatrics and Geriatric Medicine.
After working and traveling overseas (UK), Dr Burke settled in Central Queensland and commenced as a full time GP with Yeppoon Family Practice in 1994.
Dr Burke’s interest in Travel Medicine lead to the practice becoming a founding member of the Travel Medical Alliance in 2005. This is an essential service for Central Queensland as it allows patients access to up to date travel advice and kits for their travel plans.
Dr Burke also has a keen interest in women’s health and runs a special Women’s Health clinic at Yeppoon Family Practice.

Dr Kaverjit Gujral is working at the forefront of his field, employing state-of-the-art Integrative (Wellness) Medicine tools and techniques, along with the best of conventional medicine. Dr Kaverjit’s own wellness journey has made him particularly passionate about the incredible benefits of Integrative Medicine.

Dr Scott Cooling
Dr Scott Cooling graduated from the University of Queensland in 1993 and obtained his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2012.
He has had a long standing relationship with the Capricorn Coast community and has serviced their health needs for 15 years as the Medical Superintendent of the Yeppoon Hospital and the new Capricorn Coast Hospital and Health Service.
Dr Cooling became a Practice Partner of Yeppoon Family Practice in 2013. He loves general practice and has a special interest in sports medicine and skin cancer treatment.
Outside of work, he is a very busy husband and father to a large family and enjoys spending weekend time at numerous sporting events supporting his children.
Dr Julian Gregory
Dr Julian Gregory graduated from University of Queensland in 1977 and obtained his Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 1984.
He had practiced medicine in Yeppoon for 14 years before he became a Practice Partner in Yeppoon Family Practice in 1996. Dr Gregory has found it a privilege to look after the health needs of the Capricorn Coast community for 34 years.
Dr Gregory enjoys all areas of family medicine, however he has a special interest in men’s health, travel medicine, skin cancer surgery, aged persons health care, sports medicine and acupuncture.
He is a Nominated Medical Advisor for the mining industry Coal Board Medicals and enjoys teaching GP registrars and medical students.
Dr Beth Skilbeck
Dr Skilbeck is a part time Australian GP, sharing her time between Zilzie and Yeppoon practices.
Dr Skilbeck graduated from the University of Liverpool UK in 1992. Her General Practice training was gained in the UK with a Royal College Membership of General Practitioners. She has obtained Diplomas in child health, minor surgery, family planning and obstetrics with gynaecology.
Dr Skilbeck fell in love with Australia when she was working as a GP locum on the Gold Coast in 1998. She has spent 11 years working as a GP in Sarina, before moving to Yeppoon.
Dr Skilbeck sees herself a traditional family doctor with special interest in women’s health, IUD insertion, mental health and minor surgery. She is a GP registrar supervisor and contracted by James Cook University to assess the training of the local registrars.
Dr Neel Chitre
Dr Neel Chitre joined the practice in 2017. Dr Neel currently works in Yeppoon Family Practice and The Family Practice (Zilzie) under the GP Registrar Program.
Dr Neel enjoys all aspects of general practice, and has a special interest in Skin.
Having lived in Central Queensland for a number of years, Dr Neel is committed to providing quality care for the local community.
Dr Patrice Callaghan
Dr Patrice Callaghan graduated from Griffith University in 2012 and joined the Yeppoon Family Practice and The Family Practice (Zilzie) in January 2015 as a General Practice Registrar.
Although Dr Callaghan enjoys all aspects of family medicine she has a special interest in chronic disease management and mental health.
Dr Callaghan is a very busy wife and mother, who enjoys stand-up paddle boarding in her spare time.
