YFP Management Services has proudly delivered holistic, accessible, and high-quality healthcare to the Capricorn Coast community since 1975. Owned and led by six dedicated Directors—Dr Scott Cooling, Dr Michael Donohue, Dr Rupert Savariar, Dr Kaverjit Gujral, Dr Nicholas Wong, and Julie Thomson—the practice operates from three convenient sites in Central Queensland:

Our Practices
Our general practices are fully accredited and supported by a dedicated team of professionals. Each location is staffed with experienced practice nurses, skilled administration teams, and a practice manager to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, a Business Manager oversees the growth and development of our practices and the services provided. All practices operate under a private billing model, using Best Practice clinical software to streamline care delivery.
With a total patient base of 40,956 and an active patient base of 17,056, we are proud to serve the diverse Capricorn Coast community. Yeppoon is classified as MM3, while Emu Park is classified as MM5 under the Modified Monash Model.
General Practice Workforce
Our team comprises 26 doctors (18.1 FTE), including 13 full-time and 13 part-time practitioners. The practice is led by 5 Practice Principals, supported by 14 Independent Medical Practitioners and 7 Registrars. We currently offer 4.5 FTE registrar placements, with the capacity to expand to 7.0 FTE to support additional training opportunities.
Complementing our medical team are:
- Treatment Room Nurses (6 FTE)
- Chronic Disease Nurses (FTE 3.5), providing care planning and coordinated care arrangements in partnership with doctors.
- Coordinated Veteran Care (CVC) Nurses (1.2 FTE), dedicated to supporting the health of our veteran community.
We prioritise a multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare. In addition to general practice services, our facilities offer onsite pathology services through Sullivan & Nicolaides. Our nursing team includes Chronic Disease Nurses, who support the creation of management plans and coordinate care arrangements, as well as trained practice nurses providing advanced treatments such as Photo Dynamic Therapy.
Comprehensive Services
Our practices offer a wide range of healthcare services to meet the needs of all ages and health conditions. These include:
- Travel Medicine (accredited with TMA)
- Workplace Medicals
- Skin Cancer Medicine, including skin checks, excisions, and Photo Dynamic Therapy (both traditional and daylight PDT)
- Women’s Health, including Implanon and Mirena insertions and MonaLisa Touch treatments
- Cosmetic Services, including cosmetic injections and advanced skin treatments
- Nutritional Medicine and Prolotherapy
- Vasectomies
Teaching Practice
We are a teaching practice dedicating to providing the next generation of primary health care providers with exciting and rewarding opportunities. Our practices are accredited teaching facilities with RACGP and ACCRM, boasting over 30 years of experience in training future healthcare professionals.
- 8 General Practice Supervisors accredited with RACGP and 6 Supervisors with ACCRM.
- Student placements for:
- John Flynn Medical students
- UQ Rural Clinical School medical students
- CQU Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse students
Practice Capacity
- Yeppoon Family Practice: Purpose-built facility (570m²) with 14 consult rooms, 1 allied health room, 5-bed nursing bay, and 1 procedure room.
- The Family Practice (Emu Park): Purpose-built facility (317m²) with 8 consult rooms, 1 nurse/AHP consult room, 5-bed nursing bay, and a procedural room.
- Complete Skin Solutions & Specialist Centre: Operates with 4.0 FTE doctors, 1.5 FTE nurses, and a skilled support team. Specialist services include cardiology and obstetrics/gynaecology, alongside advanced dermatology, cosmetic, and skin cancer treatments.
- The practice group also offers an outreach clinic at St Brendan’s College and services three residential aged care facilities.
